Announcing our Spotlight on a Cause 2020 - The Kindness Project - Rise Up!
Join us this fall as we work to spread kindness, love and light through the Kindness Project - Rise Up- A virtual variety show for students to express their thoughts and feelings through art and music! This project is all about love, support, and empowerment of young artists. You are not alone, and you can make a difference. Register to be a part of The Kindness Project- Rise Up today!

The Kindness Project - Rise Up will be a showcase of pieces performed and curated by the participants with help and guidance from our directors. Our goal is for students to have a chance to express their thoughts and feelings through art and music and to provide a platform for them to do just that. Students in the main cast are encouraged to submit a form of artistic expression to audition with that might be expanded upon and performed by themselves and/or their peers by the end of the program. All forms of artistic expression are welcome; a song, a poem or spoken word piece, a dance, a monologue or skit, visual arts, ect. While submitting something is not a requirement, we do ask that all participants in the main cast submit something that they would like to audition (see below) with so that the directors can get to know the students and their interests. In addition the directors will be casting and choreographing multiple group performance pieces.  More information will be sent out as we get closer to the meet and greet event.

We are excited to announce that this camp will be in person with safety protocols in place. In line with the current governmental orders, a mask and face shield will be required for programming. Students are required to supply their own mask and face shield. While performing indoors, students are expected to wear, at minimum, a face shield. Students are required to wear a mask while not performing unless a medical reason is reported to Children's Performing Arts in advance. When possible, rehearsals will take place outdoors. We will keep you updated as our protocols change in line with the most recent government guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to info@childrensperformingartsmn.org

Things CPA is doing to ensure safety:
  • All door handles will be sanitized prior to arrival
  • Safety drop-off – CPA staff will come out to your car to greet and take the temperature of your student and verify students have been symptom free
  • Students will sanitize/wash hands upon arrival
  • Programming will be outside when weather permitting (not too hot or raining.)
  • When inside, we will be in our large classrooms or large TV Studio which allows for social distancing
  • Each student is to bring their own labeled water bottle. All personal items will be socially distanced as well
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is encouraging all Americans — even people who feel healthy — to wear cloth face masks or homemade face coverings in public when 6-feet social distancing is difficult to maintain in an effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19. CPA will do our best to provide more than enough space to allow for social distancing. Masks are encouraged for situations when students cannot maintain 6 ft of distance. Students must provide their own mask/face covering.
  • We will keep you updated as our protocols change in line with the most recent CDC guidelines.

All sales are final.   No refunds or credits will be granted for non-attendance.
