​​Ready to enhance your performance skills and audition talents? Come join us as Brian guides you through the creative process of delivering a great monologue with emotion and depth. Whether comedy or tragedy, Brian can help you get to the next level!  This program includes individual coaching as well!

Grades: 8th-12th

Location: Online via Zoom

Dates: Initial class June 23rd | 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM 
  • Students will be able to sign up for one 20-minute zoom coaching session (more details on times will be discussed at the first rehearsal).
  • This session is designed to measure progress on implementing suggestions from the first meeting, and to steer towards performance ready.

Performance: June 30 at 7:00 PM 

Cost:  $30.00

Director: Brian Cern

Prior to the initial zoom meeting, Brian will email each student with more details regarding materials.

  • He will lay out expectations and guidelines for a constructive critique.
  • He will ask that the students provide him with a copy of the monologues.
  • He ​will also include a link to sign up for one-on-one sessions.
  • Each participant will come with two one-minute monologues (one comedy, one drama) to be worked on. 
There will be resources available.
All sales are final.   No refunds or credits will be granted for non-attendance.
Meet the instructor: Brian Cern
Brian Cern is an award-winning actor, director and playwright based here in the Twin Cities.  Locally, you may have seen him in productions with The Phipps Center for the Arts, as well as Lakeshore Players Theatre. He has had his work performed in such places as St. Paul, St. Louis and Toronto. Brian received his degree in theatre from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, he lives in the White Bear Area with his wife and son.
